Overview

UtilVox is committed to protecting your privacy and earning your trust. This policy explains what information we collect, how we process files, and how we protect your data. We have written this in plain, transparent language. Our core architectural philosophy is simple: your data belongs to you.

Information We Collect

We collect minimal, strictly operational information to maintain our service:

Automatically collected (Anonymized):
Anonymous usage metrics (pages visited, tools used, timestamps)
Browser type and device characteristics
Anonymized IP address (with IP masking enabled)
Referring URL

Not collected:
Your name or real-world identity
Email address or passwords (no mandatory accounts)
Payment information (all tools are 100% free)
File contents or documents processed by our tools

How We Use Information

Any technical information collected during a session is used strictly to diagnose broken endpoints, prevent automated denial-of-service abuse, and monitor platform performance. We do not build user behavioral profiles, correlate browsing habits across third-party websites, or sell any data.

File Processing & Architecture

UtilVox employs a dual-tier processing architecture designed around client privacy:

1. Client-Side Processing (The vast majority of tools):

Tools such as HEIC to JPG conversion, image cropping, JSON formatting, regex testing, UUID generation, hash creation, calculators, and word counters run 100% locally in your browser using modern WebAssembly and JavaScript APIs.

Your files and inputs NEVER leave your device
Zero bytes are transmitted to external servers
Files are processed with zero network latency

2. Server-Assisted Ephemeral Processing (Select heavy tools):

Certain complex tasks (such as advanced OCR scanning or multi-format document compilation) execute in temporary, isolated server sandboxes.

Files are transferred via encrypted HTTPS connections
Processed entirely in volatile memory and streamed directly back to you
Instantly purged from memory upon completion
Files are NEVER stored permanently on disk, never used for AI training, and never shared with third parties

Cookies, Storage & Tracking

We believe in an honest, ad-free web experience:

**No Advertising Cookies:** We do NOT display third-party advertisements (such as Google AdSense), and we do NOT drop advertising tracking cookies.
**Local Storage:** We use browser Local Storage solely to remember user interface preferences, such as your dark/light theme setting (utilvox-theme).
**Anonymized Analytics:** We use privacy-conscious analytics (Google Analytics with IP masking and Vercel Analytics) strictly to measure platform health, monitor traffic spikes, and identify broken pages.

Security Protocols

All traffic to and from UtilVox is strictly encrypted in transit using industry-standard SSL/TLS (HTTPS). Server-assisted computations run in isolated, stateless containers that are continuously recycled. We prioritize data minimization at every layer of our technical stack.
